From February 24 to March 13, 2011 the Royal Albert Hall in London will be hosting the representation of the Puccini opera Madam Butterfly premium. No opera can match the pain and tragedy as Puccini’s Madam Butterfly. Set in the first-century Japan, is about the love story of an American naval lieutenant and his young Japanese bride which inspired Puccini to write his most sublime and beautiful music.
The differences in attitudes and styles of East and West are common in the creation of Puccini. The love duet that closes the first act alone, and the celebration of butterflies in the “One Fine Day”, in which Japanese girlfriend shows her unwavering belief that Pinkerton will return to her, are just two of the best moments. Then, after several years, Pinkerton returns with his American wife, being the butterfly betrayed, becoming the movements of the opera powerful and tragic.
Since its premiere, this production truly sensational Puccini’s masterpiece has left an indelible impression on the hearts of more than four hundred thousand people who have enjoyed it and which has received the best critical acclaim wherever it has been performed. By popular demand, Madam Butterfly now returns to London. Once again the floor of the Royal Albert Hall will flooded with water to create a stunning design by David Roger raise his house where the Madam Butterfly on columns above the shiny surface of a traditional Japanese water garden.
Madam Butterfly is sung in english with the great translation by Amanda Holden and will be directed by renowned theater director David Freeman. How could it be otherwise, Oliver Gooch will conduct the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
